Abstract

Strawberries are highly perishable and have unusual post-harvest transportation requirements. Strawberry fruits were harvested from a greenhouse in Kurdistan, and healthy fruits of the same size and free of disease symptoms were transferred to the horticultural science laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture of Lorestan University, The results of the analysis of variance showed that the effect of time, nano and treatment on weight loss, vitamin C, flavonoid, anthocyanin, antioxidant capacity, polyphenol oxidase is significant. The results showed that the studied fruits had the lowest weight loss related to the treatment of nanocellulose 1.5 and extract 2% and the highest firmnes related to the treatment of extract 2% and 4%. On the 18th day of storage, the highest amount of phenol was observed in the extract 4% treatment. The lowest amount of polyphenol oxidase enzyme activity was related to the treatment of nanocellulose and extract 2%. The highest amount of ascorbic acid was observed in nanocellulose treatment with extract 2%. In general, the treatment of nano cellulose 1.5 + 2% extract improved the properties of weight loss, ascorbic acid and polyphenol oxidase. Considering the economic importance of strawberries and the high waste of this product, the use of this treatment is recommended to improve the characteristics of strawberries
